Worked as a special education classroom teacher since 2009
Earned a double MA in Special Education and General Education in 2009 from Hunter College in NYC
Earned a BA in Philosophy as well as a certificate in Diversity Studies in 2005 from FAU and FSU in Florida
Specializes in working with students with learning disabilities, dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, ASD, anxiety, and executive functioning needs
Has worked exclusively with neurodiverse students
Is certified to teach special education and general education in both Oregon as well as New York
Holds memberships in the National Council of teachers of Mathematics, the Learning Disabilities Association of America, and the International Dyselexia Asociation
Has tutored students since 2009
Has loved living in Portland for the past seven years, previously lived in NYC for ten years, grew up in South Florida
Worked at Bridges Middle School for seven years teaching Math, Language Arts, Reading, Social Studies, and much more; previously taught at The Churchill School & Center in NYC
Plays recreational soccer and futsal on several teams each week
Has a super cute dachshund named Yoshimi
Loves books, movies, houseplants, ramen, ART, music, camping, the Portland Thorns, and lots more!
